Anxiety disorder is extremely common in America; 1 out of 8 children have an anxiety disorder. Psychologists search for alternatives in order to avoid using medications. Researchers have discovered therapeutic alternatives to reduce the anxiety. The treatment is called Attention Bias Modification (ABM) and the focus is on changing children’s thought patterns in order to reduce the anxiety of future threats.

Due to the increase of technology children feel comfortable using computers. ABM is a therapeutic computer based program that permits children to tolerate the therapy and achieve results.
